Max and Dorothy Baggerly Scholarship

Former Spearman residents Max and Dorothy Baggerly established this scholarship to give back to the communities in which they had established successful businesses.  The scholarship is for the benefit of graduating high school seniors from Beaver and Texas Counties in Oklahoma, and Hansford and Ochiltree Counties in Texas. 

Eligibility

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Beaver or Texas Counties in Oklahoma, or Hansford or Ochiltree Counties in Texas (includes Beaver residents who may be attending schools located in adjoining counties due to population restrictions);

Exhibit character and leadership; and

Maintain a cumulative high school GPA of 85 (3.4 on a 4.0 scale).

Scholarship Amount

$500/semester for up to 8 semesters of undergraduate studies

Scholarship Requirements

*Each semester’s payment is contingent upon meeting the following:

Recipient must attend college the fall semester immediately following selection;

Maintain full-time student status (typically 12 credit hours/semester for undergraduate studies);

Maintain a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA while in college; and

Attend any accredited college/university and major in field of choice.
