The Amarillo Area Foundation Women’s Philanthropy Fund is a donor driven pooled fund, established to address the needs of women and children in the Texas Panhandle through impactful grants. The donors are philanthropically motivated women, united by a powerful desire to address the emerging issues facing our region and women and children in all areas of life. One of the main purposes of the Amarillo Area Foundation Women’s Philanthropy Fund is to connect, empower, and enrich women’s lives across the Panhandle. The fund awards annual grants to charitable organizations throughout the Texas Panhandle. Founded in 2008, the fund has distributed over $250,000 in grants.

Membership contributions are due by July 31 of each year to ensure voting privileges for that calendar year. A membership pledge may be paid in quarterly or monthly payments but must be complete by July 31 for voting.

“Because of the Women’s Philanthropy Fund grant our organization is offering a series of financial stability programs in Spanish and English called “Money Matters,” targeted to the women in our area whose lives will be improved by increasing their “money management” skills. The members of this fund are passionate about helping others and we are grateful for the connection that the Women’s Philanthropy Fund and the Amarillo Area Foundation have with the nonprofits from all over the top 26 counties of the Panhandle.”
