Achievement through Commitment to Education (ACE) Fundraising Campaign
To meet the increasing needs of the
ACE scholarship program and to expand
the ACE opportunity to more students,
the Amarillo Area Foundation and The
Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation
Boards approved the ACE Endowment
and Expansion Project with a goal of $5
million to be raised over three years.
The Don and Sybil Harrington Board of
Directors recently approved a $1.5
million gift toward the $5 million goal.
Fundraising has reached $3 million
toward the $5 million goal.
The expanded program will include future scholarships to students at
Bivins, Margaret Wills and San Jacinto elementary schools that feed into Tascosa
High School. The children who finish 5th grade (High School Graduation Class of
2016) at one of these schools will be eligible for ACE scholarships if they continue
on to Tascosa High School and meet the eligibility requirements of the ACE program.
